Billing and Refund Policy

Last updated: August 2026

The 14-Day Free Trial

Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial. A payment card is required at signup, but you are not charged when the trial begins. Checkout shows exactly these terms — for example, "Try PurchSense Starter — 14 days free — Then $99.00/month."

Your first charge occurs when the 14-day trial ends, at the monthly price of the plan you chose. If you cancel before the trial ends, you are not charged. To cancel during the trial, email hello@purchsense.com before the trial's last day and we will cancel the subscription before it bills.

After the trial, the subscription bills monthly. There is no annual contract and there are no setup fees.

When Do I Get Billed?

Monthly Billing Cycle

PurchSense operates on a monthly subscription model. You will be billed on or around the same day each month that you initially subscribed. For example, if you subscribe on the 15th of January, you will be billed on or around the 15th of each subsequent month.

Payment in Advance

All subscriptions are billed in advance. Your payment covers the upcoming billing period, not the period that just concluded.

Can I Get a Refund?

Unless required by applicable law, payments made for PurchSense subscriptions are not refundable.

We recommend evaluating PurchSense during the 14-day free trial — before the first charge occurs — to ensure the system meets your organization's needs. A walkthrough or initial consultation is also available before you subscribe.

Account Cancellations and Downgrades

No Partial Refunds

If you cancel your PurchSense subscription, you will not receive a refund for any portion of the days remaining in your current billing period. You will retain access to the system through the end of your paid period.

Cancellation Timing to Avoid Next Billing

To ensure you are not charged for the following billing period, you must cancel your subscription before your next billing date. Cancellations made after billing has processed will apply to the subsequent billing cycle.

Example: If your billing date is the 15th of each month and you cancel on the 14th, you will not be charged on the 15th. If you cancel on the 16th (after billing), you will be charged for the next month and your cancellation will take effect at the end of that billing period.

Data Retention After Cancellation

Upon cancellation, your account and data remain accessible for 30 days. During this time, you can export your purchasing records. After 30 days, your data may be permanently deleted. See our Privacy Policy for complete data handling details.

Payment Methods and Processing

PurchSense accepts major credit cards and ACH bank transfers for subscription payments. All payments are processed securely through our payment provider.

If a payment fails (due to insufficient funds, expired card, or other reasons), we will attempt to process payment again. If payment cannot be processed within 5 days of the billing date, your account may be suspended until payment is received.

Billing Disputes and Errors

If you believe there has been an error in your billing, or if you have questions about a charge, please contact us at hello@purchsense.com within 30 days of the charge. We will investigate and work with you to resolve any legitimate billing issues.

Disputes submitted more than 30 days after the charge may not be eligible for review.

Price Changes

We reserve the right to modify our pricing. If we increase the monthly subscription rate, we will notify you at least 30 days before the new rate takes effect. The updated rate will apply to your next billing cycle after the notice period.

If you do not agree to a price increase, you may cancel your subscription before the new rate takes effect. You will not be charged the increased rate if you cancel within the notice period.
