Where the ProcurementExpress model pinches hospitality
The 10-user minimum bills you for seats you don't have — or punishes the seats you do. ProcurementExpress's own pricing page states you'll be charged for 10 users even if fewer are active. A 5-person property management office pays for 10. And a 25-person operation — where housekeepers, maintenance techs, and inspectors all need to request purchases — pays for every one of them. Hospitality purchasing is wide, not deep: lots of field staff raising small requests. Per-seat models tax exactly that.
Spend-capacity tiers don't map to property operations. ProcurementExpress tiers by monthly purchasing volume: $10k on Basic, $1m on Better. A 40-property operator's supply spend can swing hard with turnover season, a furnishing project, or a storm repair. You shouldn't change software plans because July was busy. PurchSense tiers by property count — the number you actually manage your business by — and never meters your POs or your spend.
Setup fees are a tax on getting started. Up to $2,000 before your first PO, in certain cases, per their published FAQ. PurchSense has no setup fees on any plan. You should be cutting POs the week you sign up.
